Session 1: (St Senan’s Primary School First Communion candidates – all three classes – divided into two groups for Sessions 1 and 2)

Explanation:

 

Session 1 is about what’s in a church, altar, tabernacle, statues etc. The children will be placed into several small groups with two adult leaders.

 

Session 2 is about how to bow, genuflect, and why; about kneeling, standing etc. Again, the children will be in small groups with adult leaders.

 

Session 3 and 4 – two occasions when we’ll offer Mass with the children while showing them when to stand, kneel etc
